“Would you and your prayer ladies please pray for my friend, Amber, in NE? She’s in the hospital. Here’s what she updated on Facebook:
For all of you who’ve been waiting for an update – sorry that I’ve been so slow to get one out here. I’ve been in the infectious disease ward of the hospital since Saturday. I have shingles – which really doesn’t sound as bad as it is. Because of my low immune system (or, as my Dr says, lack of immune system) it hit me hard. I can’t open one eye, and have sores all over my face & scalp. They’re giving me a cocktail of meds to try to get me healthy. The problem is, with no immune system, it can spread to my brain/lungs/liver/etc. So, I will stay here where they can monitor that I’m actually getting better. Thank you all for your prayers! Please keep them coming. Pain management has been a struggle, as has been the swelling on the right half of my face. Please also pray that Jon doesn’t get sick. He’s been taking care of the kids, as well as cleaning everything at home & making time to come visit me.”
